Privacy Policy

IsoThis (“we,” “us”) operates isothis.shop, a marketplace where collectors post “in search of” requests for collectibles and get connected with sellers. This notice explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: teddy@isothis.shop.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile image. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Content you provide. Your item requests, photos, listings, messages sent through the platform, and any contact details you add to your profile.
- Transaction information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers. Shipping labels are created through Shippo using the addresses you provide.
- Usage information. We collect first-party analytics (pageviews and coarse click events) to understand how the site is used. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Our emails include an open-tracking pixel and click-tracking links provided by our email delivery provider (Twilio SendGrid) to measure delivery and engagement; security emails (such as sign-in links) contain no tracking, and blocking images in your mail client prevents open tracking.
- Publicly available seller information. To match buyer requests with items for sale, our systems gather publicly available listing information from marketplaces and the open web, which can include a seller’s business name and public contact details.
How we use information
- Matching buyer requests with sellers and items, including processing request text and listings with third-party AI providers to power search and matching.
- Operating transactions: payments, shipping, and buyer-seller messaging.
- Sending service notifications (for example, that a buyer wants an item you sell) by email and, where you have opted in, by phone.
- Keeping the platform safe: preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
How we share information
We share personal data only with the service providers that run the platform: payment processing (Stripe), shipping (Shippo), email delivery, cloud hosting (AWS), and AI providers that process request and listing text, and between a buyer and seller as needed to complete a sale. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Phone numbers, calls, and SMS
If you provide a phone number, you do so through our own signup and onboarding flows with explicit opt-in. We do not call or text numbers from purchased or third-party lists. Phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are used only for the notifications you opted into and are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Message frequency varies based on your marketplace activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text (or HELP for help), or by telling us on a call.
Cookies
We use an essential session cookie to keep you signed in and our own first-party analytics beacon. We do not set third-party advertising cookies.
Retention and security
We keep personal data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Data is stored with access controls and encryption in transit and at rest.
Your choices
You can choose which categories of notification email you receive using the preferences on your account page, and every marketing or notification email includes a working one-click unsubscribe link (security emails, such as sign-in links, are excepted). Each of your requests has its own toggles (on that request’s page) for whether it’s visible in the public feed and whether its report is shareable. If we contacted you using publicly available information and you would rather we not, tell us and we will add you to our suppression list. You can access, correct, or delete your account data by emailing teddy@isothis.shop.
