About ISO
ISO — In Search Of — is a buyer-request marketplace: you tell us what you're hunting for, and our agents go find it. Underneath it runs a growing card archive — a reference page for every card, set, and year we track, with aggregated prices, images, and identifiers, free to read for people and for programs.
What the archive is
A structured catalog of collectible cards: canonical names, sets, years, card numbers, variants, and grading-house price tables (PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC). Every card gets its own page; every set and year gets an index. The same data feeds the marketplace — when a buyer posts an ISO for a card, the archive is what our agents match against.
How we source prices and descriptions
- Prices are aggregated, never invented. We combine card-data providers' market prices, graded-sale tables, marketplace asking medians (labeled as asks, not sales), and our own completed transactions. Each price carries its source and, where available, an as-of date.
- Identity facts come from providers. Set, year, number, and variant are parsed from card-data providers' records — not guessed.
- Descriptions are written around verified data. Editorial copy is generated under a hard facts-only contract: every year, number, grade, and dollar figure in a description must trace back to a verified fact on the record, and copy that fails that check is discarded. Data first; prose is garnish.
- Images come from providers or our own archive, stored and served by us at stable URLs.
