Help & FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about buying and selling on ISO.

For Sellers

Is it really free to sell on ISO?

Yes, completely. There are no listing fees, no monthly subscriptions, and no commission taken from sellers. ISO's service fee is charged to the buyer at checkout, not you. You receive the full amount you agree to sell for.

Do I need to list items individually?

No. You can upload your full inventory as a spreadsheet (Excel or CSV), a Word doc, or describe it in plain text during onboarding. Our system parses your inventory and starts matching it against live buyer requests automatically. You can also add individual items later from your dashboard.

How does matching work?

ISO's matching engine continuously scans active buyer requests and compares them to your inventory. When a buyer posts "looking for a PSA 10 Charizard under $500," any seller with that item gets notified and can respond directly. You don't need to browse or search. Relevant opportunities come to you.

Can I sell if I'm already on eBay or TCGPlayer?

Absolutely. Most of our sellers are already active on other platforms. ISO is additive: you're reaching a different pool of intent-driven buyers who've already committed to searching for specific items. There's no exclusivity requirement.

What categories can I sell in?

ISO supports trading cards (sports, Pokémon, MTG, and more), collectibles, apparel, and other high-value items. If you're unsure whether your inventory fits, just apply. We review every application and will let you know.

How quickly will I get approved?

We review all seller applications within one business day. We look at your inventory type, any existing platform history (eBay, TCGPlayer, etc.), and overall fit. Most sellers with established inventory are approved same-day.

Is there a minimum or maximum inventory size?

No minimums, no maximums. We work with individual collectors flipping a dozen cards and large dealers moving thousands of SKUs. The platform scales to your volume automatically.

For Buyers

What is an ISO request?

ISO stands for "In Search Of." When you post a request, you describe exactly what you're looking for: the item, condition or grade, price range, and any other details. Matching sellers can then respond directly. You're not browsing a marketplace; sellers come to you.

How do I post a request?

Click "Create a Post" from any page. Describe what you're looking for, set a budget, and optionally attach a reference photo. Once published, your request goes live and matched sellers are notified.

Who pays for shipping?

Buyers pay for shipping. The seller specifies shipping costs when they respond, and you'll see the complete total (item price + shipping + ISO's service fee) before you commit. There are no hidden charges at checkout.

Can I negotiate on a response?

Yes. Every response opens a real message thread with the seller, so you can talk price, condition, and shipping directly until you both agree. There's no rigid offer/counter-offer flow; it's a normal conversation.

How long does my request stay active?

Requests stay active until you close them, complete a purchase, or they expire after 90 days. You can edit or close a request from your dashboard at any time.

Fees & Payments

How does ISO's fee work?

ISO charges a service fee to buyers only. Sellers pay nothing. The fee is added on top of the seller's asking price at checkout. The fee covers secure payment processing and platform support.

Are there any fees for sellers?

None. No listing fees, no monthly plans, no commissions. Sellers keep 100% of their asking price. ISO's fee is charged to the buyer on top of the agreed sale price.

What payment methods are accepted?

ISO accepts all major credit and debit cards. All payments are processed securely through ISO. No exchanging bank details or using third-party apps directly.

Trust & Safety

What happens after I agree on a purchase?

Payment is collected through ISO's secure checkout. The seller ships the item, and you confirm receipt. Every step is tracked on-platform. No external handoffs required.

What if the item doesn't match the description?

Reach out to our support team as soon as possible with details and photos. We review the evidence from both parties and help mediate a fair resolution.
